Before your first session
- Get medical or professional advice if you have a condition, are pregnant, are returning after injury, or are unsure whether exercise is suitable.
- Check that the exercise, equipment, surface and space are suitable and clear of hazards.
- Use the preview and swap tools before training when an exercise or location is not practical.
During a session
- Use a load and pace you can control with good technique.
- Warm up, follow the programmed recovery and take longer when you need it.
- Treat readiness suggestions as guidance—not permission to ignore pain, illness or professional advice.
- Stop or swap an exercise if it causes sharp pain, instability, numbness or symptoms that concern you.
Get urgent help
Stop exercising and seek urgent medical help for chest pain, fainting, severe or unusual shortness of breath, sudden weakness, confusion, a suspected serious injury or any other emergency symptom. Call 999 in the UK when appropriate.
Injuries and limitations
The limitation tools help MoveByMe avoid or adapt movements based on what you tell us. They do not diagnose an injury, prescribe rehabilitation or confirm that an exercise is safe. A qualified clinician should guide rehabilitation and return to exercise.
After training
Record results honestly so future targets are useful. Normal muscular effort and delayed soreness can occur, but persistent, worsening or unusual symptoms should be assessed by an appropriate professional.
